Welcome everyone to the 2015 Art Fight!
Make sure you read every step of this guide, and if you still have any questions,
check out the Ask A Staff page and we'll answer your questions there!
If you have questions about using the forum (posting images, creating threads, etc.) visit this guide.

Step 0: Wait to be assigned to your team

[/i][/b], so please don't try to set up your threads or attack until you've been assigned. In the mean time, you can read over the instructions and begin writing out your character forms (though you shouldn't post them yet).[/ul]
Step 1: Create your Character Listings Thread

[/a][/b]. You can add or delete character posts in your own thread whenever you would like, but only make one thread in this forum. Comments and bumps are not allowed in this forum.
Team Color, post your characters here! / Team Monochrome, post your characters here![/ul]

Step 2: Create your Personal Attack Thread (OPTIONAL)

(This step is optional; if you don't want to post your attacks to anything but the Official Attack Threads, you don't have to. However, you aren't notified of comments on your posts, pings do not work in comments, and there won't be a page for people to go and look at all of your attacks otherwise. ) [/ul]

Step 3: Link your Character Listing (required) and Personal Attack Thread (optional) to your profile

Once you've completed these steps, you're ready to attack.

HOW TO ATTACK

Step 1: Draw your attack!

[/a] for more information on what is not allowed in an attack. Other than that, how much you want to put into the drawing is up to you! [/ul]

Step 2: Post to the official thread

[/a] for Team Color and here for Team Monochrome) using the form included in the first post. You will need to host your images outside the message board (DeviantArt or Sta.sh will work, or Imgur is very easy). In the form, you will ping the user you are attacking by writing "@theirusername" without quotation marks.
If the user is using a different display name from the name they entered when they signed up, the ping will not work. Because of this, always check to make sure that you are using the right username by visiting their profile.

Do I have to be an experienced artist?

[/i]to be, really! Just make sure to check the permissions on their character listings, if you're not sure what is or isn't acceptable. You don't have to draw a certain thing, just a beautiful piece of art featuring your opponent's character.[/ul]
